Want to join us to show your <\/span>modern creations and share your ideas about what\u2019s modern? Members, check your email for contact info.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div><b>Community Giving:\u00a0<\/b>Holy cow! 18 completed quilts and 8 pouches\/backpacks were turned in. Thanks to\u00a0<b>Anna\u00a0<\/b>for delivering quilts around town.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><u>Animal Mats:\u00a0<\/u>The <a href=\"https:\/\/idahohumanesociety.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Idaho Humane Society<\/a> uses small mats to set at the base of animal kennels. You can simply make a quilted mat (fabric on both sides, batting or even an old blanket sandwiched in the middle, zigzag or binding around the edge) that eventually can go to the animal\u2019s new home. Bring yours to the next meeting and\u00a0<b>Jeri<\/b>\u00a0has volunteered to deliver them to the Humane Society. Finished sizes are: (1) Cats: 18\u201c x 24\u201d (2) Small animals: 24\u201c x 36\u201d (3) Dogs: 40\u201c x 25\u201d<\/li>\n<li><u>For pouches and backpacks:<\/u>\u00a0New socks can be added to the list of useful items that go into zipper pouches and backpacks. Thanks to\u00a0<b>Dawn<\/b>\u00a0for a generous donation of travel size toiletries and to\u00a0<b>Jeri<\/b>\u00a0for getting all of this into hands of folks who can use them. <a href=\"https:\/\/catchidaho.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CATCH<\/a> Housing staff told Jeri at her last drop off that they love the BMQG!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><b>Quilts of Valor:<\/b> Feb 3 is National Quilts Of Valor Sew Day. The Canyon County chapter is asking for folks to help with their goal of making and gifting 100 quilts to veterans by the end of 2024. Right now, there are 47 nominees to receive a Quilt Of Valor in Canyon County alone &#8211; and an estimated 300 statewide. If you\u2019d like to make something for QOV, read about their guidelines\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.qovf.org\/basic-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.qovf.org\/basic-requirements\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1706980269102000&amp;usg=AOvVaw19at2SIdO2ZIWKzELu5STl\">here<\/a>.
