come quilt with us!

We typically meet on the fourth Saturday of each month from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., and we rotate meeting sites throughout the Treasure Valley — most often we’ll meet at a public library. Our meetings are fairly informal gatherings, and sometimes feature speakers or tutorials, open sew time, and, of course, show & tell.

September 21 Meeting

When: September 21, 10:30a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Where: Cole & Ustick Library, 7557 W Ustick Rd., Boise
What: We’ll hear from our own Amanda Oros of Sweetpea Design Co. with tips on how to prepare a quilt for your longarm quilter. Amanda is also host of the "Not Your Granny's Quilt Show" podcast. After her short presentation, we’ll have show and tell, and you’re free to stay and sew or socialize.

Also, the Boise Basin Quilters annual quilt show is Sept. 27-28. Are you planning to participate in our BMQ mini-quilt challenge and display at the show? Quilts are due to Pam at the September 21 meeting. Get details about the challenge here.

At the Boise Modern Quilt Guild...

... we explore the world of modern quilt designs and sewing. We are dedicated to encouraging, helping, learning and sharing all we can from each other along the way.

We love to sew and quilt

We get together for Sew Days almost every month of the year. It's casual, fun and there's even show and tell!

Project Linus

We love to share our quilting with others

We work together on the various parts of making donation quilts and then give them to organizations in the Treasure Valley for folks in need.

We love to learn more about quilting

Whether it's from a guest teacher or one of our own members, we host a number of classes and lectures throughout the year.

drawstringbackpacks

Many hands make light work

Our guild works together to make quilts, bags, and other items that we donate to community organizations. We’ve provided zipper pouches and drawstring bags filled with personal hygiene items to local shelters, as well as quilts to hospitals, shelters and other organizations. To see a list of Boise-area recipient organizations, types of sewn items they accept and other pertinent information, visit our Community Giving page.
