Annual Meeting Recap

Thanks to all who joined our Annual Meeting on Dec. 7! It was great seeing everyone, and who knew there would be so much to learn from our guest Jo Avery and her Aurifilosophy Talk!?

Officer Election and 2025 Board
Please welcome 2025 board members: Darla Christiansen (continuing as President), Mary Simmons (Vice President, formerly serving as Secretary), Cheryl Seath (incoming Secretary), Kathy Stockton (continuing as Treasurer) and Shelly Harshman (continuing as Membership Chair). Forty-Three ballots were cast, and the nominated slate of officers were elected unanimously.  Great thanks to Pam Gannon for serving as Vice President this past year, and we’re so pleased that Pam has agreed to stay on for 15th Anniversary activities.

2025 Dues
A reminder about dues: Every membership is based on the calendar year, and 2025 annual dues are just $35.  Renewing is easy! Visit the membership page for details and online renewal options.

Here’s a recap of the annual meeting:
President Darla Christiansen provided a year in review and look ahead to 2025, including:

  • 2024 event highlightsFrom a trunk show at the Nampa Modern Quilt Guild, to presentations from our own members (thank you Mary Simmons, Amanda Oros and all our Judging Panel participants!), to an amazing workshop and lecture with Charles Cameron, and the perennial favorite Quilt Camp — it’s been a full year for our Guild. And it was all topped off with special guest Jo Avery for an Aurifilosophy talk.
  • Member survey: In response to comments gathered from members, the board is planning a robust schedule that increases the number of learning opportunities and more time to connect with other members. Thanks to all who participated with your feedback.
